Ranyaka
Community development organization operating across South Africa in an integrated neighborhood transformation model that convenes residents, faith communities, business, education, and government stakeholders around a shared local plan. Ranyaka began structured engagement in the Valley of Grace in March 2024 through a partnership with SACLI (South African Christian Leadership Initiative) and local church leaders, followed by three community engagement sessions in the valley through 2024.
Domicile and scope
Ranyaka is a national South African organization with head office outside the BioRegion the Valley of Grace BioHub anchors. Its engagement with the valley is delivered through in-person community sessions, coordinator visits, and inter-session follow-up; the organization does not maintain a domiciled local office. Under the domicile convention documented in How to Build a BioHub Wiki, the page for Ranyaka sits in Partners.

Position relative to the BioHub
Ranyaka’s community engagement work in the valley predates the formal launch of the Valley of Grace BioHub (September 2026) by more than two years. The three 2024 sessions established a community coordination surface the BioHub can now build on, though the relationship between Ranyaka’s engagement architecture and the BioHub’s coordination surface has not been documented in the wiki. Whether Ranyaka becomes a founding partner of the BioHub, a delivery partner on specific services (education, community development, coordination-as-employment), or a peer coordinator on a distinct track is an open question for the Coordination Surface and the Founding Compact.
