Entities

Reference pages for the institutional parties named in the Valley of Grace Significant Dates timeline and in the analytical briefs. Each page describes the entity’s mandate, formation, jurisdiction where relevant, and role in the valley’s coordination history. Entity pages are kept factual and dated; interpretive readings live in Research.

Note on the entity/partner boundary

Entities are actors domiciled inside the BioRegion the BioHub anchors. Actors whose domicile lies elsewhere and who engage with the BioHub through contract, funding, verification, or coordination sit under Partners instead. Under this rule, Ranyaka (community engagement partner working in the valley from 2024) belongs on the Partners page; Urban Dynamics Western Cape (Cape Town-based consultancy) belongs on the Partners page; the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform (national) belongs on the Partners page. Where a partner opens a local office in the BioRegion, an entity page opens for that office as well, and the two are cross-linked.
